How to get wavy hair without mousse?

i dont want to scrunch my hair, it gets way too big.

and plus i only want to put it to the side (side wavy pony tail)

will putting buns in my hair while wet, sleeping with them,

waking up, spritzing my hair and putting only like one handful

of mousee, then putting it into a side pony tail work?

i put a little bit of gel or mousse and some smoothing serum or leave in conditioner in my hair while it's wet - when my hair dries i put a little bit of serum to tame frizzes. the waves come out soft and not frizzy

what you do is use a curl iron and curl it and then brush through it once enough to have to curl come out..

and it will be wavy rather then curlyy and use hair sprayy.
