What is this hair style called??

It's in the 4th page of Yahoo! Avatars, "Wavy Hair in Long Ponytail." What's the big curl on the top called? I know you clip it..but wha'ts it called?

What is this hair style called??

It's usually referred to as a pompadour, though this can mean a few different things when it comes to hair. A pompadour is also a style of haircut for men--think 1950's, Elvis Presley, James Dean, etc. It's the same concept though, a curled or teased section of the hair in the middle of the head towards the front.

Hope I helped :)

What is this hair style called??

I'm too lazy to look it up.

What is this hair style called??

try here

I have straight, but very thick hair. Would it be worth it to have permanatley relaxed/straightened?

I have dark very thick hair and it always looks poofy or big. Would it be worth it to permanatley straightened/relaxed. I am a man with hair down/just below my eyebrow.

I have straight, but very thick hair. Would it be worth it to have permanatley relaxed/straightened?

Hmm it'll work to make it flat but it will last 6 months and it will hurt your hair too.

I'd say no just because if you do that it will make your hair so flat and boring. Just try to find a shampoo and conditioner mix that help dry hair. It should fix the poof problem. Also next time you get a haircut ask for a little layering to make it look more neat.

I have straight, but very thick hair. Would it be worth it to have permanatley relaxed/straightened?

definitely!!

I have straight, but very thick hair. Would it be worth it to have permanatley relaxed/straightened?

before you commit to the perm, you could try a straightening shampoo %26amp; condition, like Herbal Essence's Dangerously Straight. you could also buy a flat iron/hair straightener. you can get one at walmart for about $25. if none of those methods work, consult your hairdresser and see if he/she thinks the straightening perm would help or hinder your hair. if he/she doesn't think it would work out, ask him/her about other options. good luck!

I have straight, but very thick hair. Would it be worth it to have permanatley relaxed/straightened?

I don't think it would be worth it. A relaxer can be damaging. It can be damaging if it's not applied right, if your hair isn't properly taken care in general after being relaxed, and it could possible start to break if you don't get relaxers when you need them. A relaxer does give wonderful results, but if not done right you could be left with dry, brittle, breaking damaged hair. I would suggest investing in a CERAMIC flat iron, straightening serum perhaps, and definantly some kind of heat protectant. You can flat iron your hair a few times a week (3x) and you should be able to achieve sleek smooth hair until you next wash.

I have straight, but very thick hair. Would it be worth it to have permanatley relaxed/straightened?

No, not worth it.

I have straight, but very thick hair. Would it be worth it to have permanatley relaxed/straightened?

just be aware that it will grow quickly and be back poofy soon

I have straight, but very thick hair. Would it be worth it to have permanatley relaxed/straightened?

On a girl with really long hair it might be worth it, but your hair is probably cut more often to keep it shorter and you will cut the permed hair and have the same problem in a couple of months anyway. Ask if your hair stylist can thin out your hair to try to cut away the thickness and that will help with the poofiness. Then try using straightening shampoo and conditioner like the new Herbal Essence or one by Pantene might help out.

Hope I helped! Good luck!

I have straight, but very thick hair. Would it be worth it to have permanatley relaxed/straightened?

When you get your hair cut, ask your stylist to use thinning shears. It thins out your hair and it doesn't damage it. It'll eventually grow back to being thick though.

I have straight, but very thick hair. Would it be worth it to have permanatley relaxed/straightened?

Use Phyto hair products. Their shampoos are great for thick and unmanageable hair. They are little pricey $22.00 a bottle, but really well worth it. Go to drugstore.com or sephora.com, the sell them.

I have straight, but very thick hair. Would it be worth it to have permanatley relaxed/straightened?

i know how hard it is to use a flat iron for thick hairs.. it would take forever and your hands will ache if you wanna do it by urself... i suggest you to go for japanese straightening.. its works gr8 and the volume of your hair appears to be decreased too.. it worked for me.. its been a year i got it done and it is still straight and my hair is really long now.. 2 inches of hair shouldnt cost you much too.. try it out.. it is worth.. i love my hair now...

I have straight, but very thick hair. Would it be worth it to have permanatley relaxed/straightened?

Yes; it is possible for you to "relax" your hair with a chemical application. Since your hair is short, you'll have to touch up your new, natural growth every 4-6 weeks. Short hair and relaxers need constant maintainance. You can do this, though. My mother had an extra short choppy hair cut at one point in her life and went to the salon every 2 weeks for styling and every month for touch ups. Her hair is also very dark and thick, unlike mine.

I asked her how much maintenace would be required for me if I were to cut my hair short and "relax" it and she said even though my hair texture is thinner and softer than hers, I'd still have to touch it up as often / make frequent salon visits.

You could also texturize your hair instead of making it entirely straight. With a texturizer, you'll still have body. Go to a Dominican salon and get a consultation. Lots of Dominican guys have short hair and texturize it. Girls, as well.

Ok i have curly hair and i need advice?

i have curly hair and i usually put gell in it to be curly then afterwards i blowdry it so it wont frizz or get big but later on in the day it gets dryed out and gets bigger.... is it becuz i blow fry my hair after or no wat should i do to not let that all happen

Ok i have curly hair and i need advice?

you should let it air dry.

i have curly hair and i used to have the same problem..

but i let it air dry now and its A LOT better. (:

try not to put too much gel in it too..

that sometimes makes it dry.

Ok i have curly hair and i need advice?

well it kinda depends on how long ur hair is. i also hav curly hair (shoulder length and it's more wavy but it works) and i put gel in my hair wen it's wet then i leave it cuz i shower at night so i just put the gel in and then spray gel on it to keep it from frizzing. then in the morning i spray a little water on it and spray more gel on it just to put the frizz from the pillow down. Don't blow dry it unless u hav like really really curly hair that's short. and u hav a difruser. but just normal blow drying will make it frizzy cuz it probably breaks the gel that's holding ur hair in a curl

Ok i have curly hair and i need advice?

i dont know if this will be of much help unless u follow my way to make them look good..it makes mine look really nice now and i used to have a lot of problem earlier.

if u can u should massage your hair with warm oil like lets say olive oil and then wash off after an hour and if you dont have so much time to spare then leave it over night n wash off the next day..it makes ur hair more lively and so much softer. You should oil ur hair atleast twice a week like on the weekend and maybe be mid week.. its all the more better when u oil it before every wash but dont forget to leave it on for atleast 30- 60 mins..

pls stop using gel because it'll only damage hair further n make it drier.. i usually use a good conditioner (which is more important than a fancy shampoo) because it reduces volume and keeps hair in control all day..use a softening serum if you want to substitute gel

and yeah even blow drying will damage hair.. be careful..

take care.

Ok i have curly hair and i need advice?

dont put alot of gel because i did tht and it totally dryed out my hair and damaged my hair ALOT!!!!!

dont blow dry

let it air dryy

and i think u should leave some leave-in-conditioner instead of gel

dont mess up ur hairr, trust me

Ok i have curly hair and i need advice?

It is the combination of you putting gel in your hair and blow drying it. Most storebrand gels contain alcohol as an ingredient which drys out the hair naturally, on top of that you are blow drying which sucks up whatever moisture you have left in your hair. Keep in mind that afro hair is by nature the dryest hair texture there is.

Aloe vera gel, 100% natural, the only ingredient is Aloe vera is just as good and it holds well also.

You could also do co-washed(conditioner) washes in the mornings to achieve the curly look. Rinse your hair under water(try not to get the water on the scalp) with a moisturizing conditioner, its called the wash and go, add styling products and thats it.

Ok i have curly hair and i need advice?

All of these answers are great. Especially the one with the motowngirl.com advice. Aloe vera gel works great. Most store gels do have alcohol in it. Actually a lot of hair products in general have alcohol in it. All of your hair products should be geared towards moisturizing your hair. that will help the frizz. I like to use all natural things but I know my sister uses Paul Mitchell moisturizing leave in and it works well for her.

Cosmetic Surgery - Hair Line?

I hate my hair line, I have these two big round bald spots in the front and it's makin` me look old! is it possible to have hair put into these spots to make a better looking hair line?

Cosmetic Surgery - Hair Line?

It is possible, but you should ask a qualified plastic surgeon and read about the procedure before going for it, here you can read more about that and in that "before your surgery" section about what it means to do your homework before any procedure http://www.aestheticandplastic.com/proce...

All the best!!!

Cosmetic Surgery - Hair Line?

You may be seeing yourself too critically.Ask a few close friends if they agree,%26amp; then talk with a plastic surgeon to satisfy your curiosity. Also, there are ways you can style your hair, that can soften the look of your hairline..LOL

Cosmetic Surgery - Hair Line?

Sure. Find yourself a good cosmetic surgeon and go for it. They do it all the time. They can take hair from places you've never even dreamed of and put in on your head. Seriously.

Cosmetic Surgery - Hair Line?

Frontal baldness the only answer is Follicular unit hair tranplant,Minoxidal is usually not very effective in frontal baldness.Try some antioxidants

Hair care! Brittle and dry AND damaged?!!!!?

I used to have REALLY straight hair, but I got a perm (big mistake, I know) and well, it's gotten really brittle and dry... I mean, I got highlights before I got my perm and I guess that it's not a good combination. The hair that was highlighted was especially damaged when I got the perm...

I've recently started blowdrying my hair again because I don't like it wavy anymore, but I'm scared it's going to become even more dry and brittle and I'm worried. Is there anything I can apply on my hair (essence etc) that'll help it?

Oh, and I also heard that if you cut the ends of the dry brittle hair, it'll get better... is it true?

Hair care! Brittle and dry AND damaged?!!!!?

heat is your worst enemy right now, however, more

important is it to invest into some serious great products to help repair the damage.

I love super charged moisturizer by Paul Mitchel, great shampoo and repair by pureology.

I had super damaged hair from over bleeching but my hair bounced back when I changed hairdressers and started spending money on higher qualities on products.

If you can take it avoid blowdrying your hair or limit it at least.

Hope this helps you.

Hair care! Brittle and dry AND damaged?!!!!?

Trimming the ends of your hair will make the the ends of your hair healthy, but not the rest of your hair.

Healthy hair tips:

Use a moisturizing shampoo condtioner and leave in creme. I reccomened Neutrogena Triple Moisture, shampoo conditioner and deep recovery hair mask. It nourishes and

revitalizes dry dull damaged hair to softer shinier healthier hair everytime you wash it.

If you dye your hair alot, leave your hair alone and wait to dye it atleast 3 years later or so. Hair dye has terrible chemicals that kill dry/damage your hair.

Brush your hair before shampooing and conditioner so your hair won't be tangeled and managable.

Don't wash your hair everyday try 3 times a week, Washing hair everyday strips the natural oils of your hair into duller dry hair.

Discontinue to heat style your hair or your hair will end up more dry/damaged, wait till it's completely healthy and maybe heat style once a week.

Avoid brushing hair while wet, gently use a wide tooth comb, hair is very vulnerable while wet and can break off easily.

Don't put your hair into pigtails, buns or ponytails while wet, that causes split ends, breakage and damage.

Deep condition twice a week to bring back moisture to your hair.

Trim your hair tips every 4-6 weeks to promote healthy hair grow and prevent split ends from happening.

While shampooing massage your scalp with your fingertips slowly, not with your nails, nails damage the scalp and nails tend to be dirty. it's not necessary to shampoo the ends, then rinse with warm water to open the hair cuticles.

While conditioner leave on for about 2-4 minutes so you can get great results then comb hair with wide tooth comb then rinse with very cold water to help seal the hair cuticles.

If you use gel/hairspray/moose stop using them. They damage and dry up your hair because of the alchohol it contains.

If you use heat appliaces (blowdryers, curling irons, hair straightener) use a heat protecter spray so it'll protect your hair from heat.

If hair is really dry, go to the salon to get a deep treatment on your hair.

Once a month use a special deep conditioning treatment like olive oil, vitamin e oil, mayonaisse, eggs, hot oil treatment, castor oil, coconut oil almond oil or avocado.

Take multivimains, vitamin e, follic acid or prenatal vitamins to promote healthy hair growth.

Drink lots of water for shinier/healthier hair and eat lots of protein and healthy food like meat, milk, cheese, peanut butter, eggs pasta, cooked beans and raw vegetables.

If your in the sun alot buy a cap or a hoodie to protect your hair from the sun, heat damages and drys out your hair.

Buy a leave-in-conditioner/leave-in conditioner/creme to moisturize your hair all day long and don't rinse.

After your out of the shower set your blowdryer on cool setting and blowdryer your hair for 2 minutes, this will help seal the hair cuticles for a smooth shiny surface.

While combing hair, comb it gentle to avoid breakage.

Hair care! Brittle and dry AND damaged?!!!!?

The blowdrying itself is a big mistake after the hair treatments. You should've start from one hair treatment and not simultaneous with other treatments. Take your Vitamins, especially Vit D and E.

Apply mineral oils, to strengthen your hair. Cutting the ends of the hair won't do you any good.

Hair care! Brittle and dry AND damaged?!!!!?

DAMAGED, DRY HAIR: A nourishing conditioner for dry or damaged hair which can be used for all hair types: Separate the white of an egg from the yolk, whip it to a peak. Add 1 Tbls. water to the yolk and blend until the mixture is creamy. Then mix the white and yolk together. Wet your hair with warm water, remove the excess moisture, and apply the mixture to your scalp with your fingertips. Massage gently until the froth is worked into your scalp, then rinse the hair with cool water. Keep applying the mixture until it is used up and then rinsed until all of the egg is washed away.

cutting the ends of your hair does not make it better.

Hair care! Brittle and dry AND damaged?!!!!?

I think the key is good product. there is a big difference between the salon sort and the supermarket sort. I used to use supermarket shampoo - pantene or whatever - and have quite dry/tending to frizzy/brittle hair which i colour as well. and after marvelling recently how soft/silky/straight my hair is after the salon, despite the fact that they blow dry it and all sorts - i asked a lot of questions about how it never feels like that for me at home. first question they asked me what shampoo i used and when i said pantene/supermarket brands - they suggested i try the same sort they use in the salon. this is called evokativ smooth shampoo (and conditioner, the brand is Sebastian. ) About $30 per product. and that i would notice a huge difference by this alone (I did.)

the next thing they used when styling, was crema styler 'anti frizz control with shine' (also sebastian). she mixed this with a few drops of laminates drops, a clear silicone-based gloss. I use that now before styling and the hair is able to be straightened with an iron or blow dried straight and still has a lovely soft texture, none of the brittle/dry/damaged it used to feel like. I am sure the sebastian is just one range of many with quality products but i stress it is a salon brand not a supermarket brand, get your hairdresser to advise.

Hair extension glue?

Okay so I've tried the shampoo and the oils to get the glue out of my hair. I've even tried vegatable oil because I heard that works! But there are still big gross clumps of extension glue in my hair that I can't get out...ANY TIPS?

Hair extension glue?

Most beauty supply stores sell a glue remover specifically for this. It works better than anything I have tried. It's inexpensive (about $3)

Hair extension glue?

Use Rubbing alcohol to get the glue out...

Hair extension glue?

get glue remover are you may have to cut it out

Hair extension glue?

honey and brown sugar it creats.... something but i cant really describe it but it is more of a scrub for your head

Hair extension glue?

Why do you have extension glue in your hair?? Whoever removed them should have gotten all the glue out of your hair. Try Everclear from the liquor store.

Hair extension glue?

The glue removers hairdressers use are similar to paint removers. So, varsol or paint thinners might work. Put a small amount on a cloth and rub the glue gently between your fingers using the cloth. Shampoo afterwards.

Hair extension glue?

You basically just need something that will help it slip out so anything that is oily that you wouldn't mind putting in you hair I used to use baby oil and would have to shampoo my hair multiple times and would still have a little bit still left in. But in the future get your extensions sewed in not glued in because the glue method while it might be quicker glue takes your hair out and is also way to time consuming when your taking it out.

Hair extension glue?

Believe it or not I've tried the same thing.....you are going to have to go and get some bond remover.....it will be right next to where they sell hair glue....I used to hair huge clumps of glue in my hair....my beautician told my to get the bond remover and I let it set for maybe 10 minutes or so....take a wide tooth comb and it will slide right out.

Hair extension glue?

Get u some oilsheen in the spray can and spray it on the glue, slowly message the glue out then shampoo with neutralizing shampoo then condition with a good conditioner like Pantine.

Hair extension glue?

Glue ?!? Have you heard of silicon rings or micro-rings?!? Weave perhaps...? GLUE : ) !

Hair extension glue?

buy bond remover it's in a black and white bottle or cream of nature conditioner and let it sit for a while then it will start braking up and start combing right out

Hair extension glue?

I had hair extensions and also had the same problem as you.

I was advised by the shop who i brought the hair and glue from that acetone is the best. Has to be pure acetone. Put some on the glue and then rub with your fingers and use a comb at top of glue and it should break the glue and you can comb it out. Just be careful as you dont want to snap your own hair. Worked for me anyway. Good luck xx

Hair extension glue?

dont cut ur hair ! Use Dawn Dish detergent !

Hair?? please help!!?

ok guys, this probably sounds dumb, but someone in my school came to school today with one of those hairstyles...you know the ones with the big bump on your head used with your hair?? lol...i really liked it and have been looking online to make it..but cant find anything...could someone give me step-by-step instructions on how to do it?? Thanks so much!!

Hair?? please help!!?

its all about teasing. Part your hair and start teasing it straight up then pull some more and do it again. then take some hair that you teased and smooth it out with a comb so you can't notice it.

Hair?? please help!!?

scene hair?

Hair?? please help!!?

All I do is pinch a little bit of hair almost like you are making a half pony tail, but obviously with less hair...then twist just a little and pinch it together and push forward to give you the little bump, put two boby pins in your hair or more to hold it...hard to explaine buut its something you kind of have to do or see...hopefully that helps?

Curling hair?? HELP!?

when i curl my hair to i straighten/blow dry it first or just curl it? which looks better: big curls or small curls with the whole hair curled or just the bottom??

also: how do i get my curls to stay?? do i use hair spray or something else??

PLEASE HELP ME!?!

Curling hair?? HELP!?

start in the shower with a curling shampoo and conditioner, also, once a week use a deep conditioner to reduce damage, the when hair is damp use a curling / volumising mouse to give hair bounce and body. Then, when dry, use a 1/2 to 1 inch culing iron on 1/2-2 inch sections depending on the size curl you want. To finish, use a finishing spray or a curling / volumizing hairsrpay. You can gently seperate curls w/ your finger to get a more natural look or use a dry wax on sections to get a more peice-y look. If al else fails get a perm, but be cautios of how and where it is done because things can go wrong. And, I strongly reccomeng not getting an at-home perm!!!!

WHEW, sorry for typing so much!! LOL!!!!

Curling hair?? HELP!?

When I curl mine - I wash it first and then blow dry it. It depends on what look youre going for for big or small curls. I like to do some of both! Again it depends on what look youre going for if you curl all or just the bottoms. All curled looks more fancy, bottom curled looks more c asual. I use hair spray to make mine stay and they stay in for days lol... =) Good luck!

Curling hair?? HELP!?

just curl it by using the pink, long and circle thing... small curls with the whole hair

Curling hair?? HELP!?

small curls and big curls mixed together looks realy good

Curling hair?? HELP!?

Wash and dry hair as usual, maybe hold hair upside down with a air diffuser on hair dryer to get rid of the frizzies. Use a curl activator on your wet hair, Redken Ringlets is good or Cat Walk Curls Rock, When hair is dry use either a curling iron or curler set, on each strand use mousse and roll it, when curler is cool or mousse is dry, take curler out. Or is using curling iron, put mousse on strand of hair, curl, let it dry all the way, then use fingers to separate curls. This will last until you wash it. good luck.

Curling hair?? HELP!?

i recommend to wash ur hair before u curl ur hair... make sure ur hair is dry when u curl it... i reccomend to experiment with both kinds of curls ( big and small) until u find which one fits ur face structure, style, and personality. the way to get ur hair to stay is use a hairspray that is called got2b in control hard hold hairspray .. this hair spray is great for holding curls

Curling hair?? HELP!?

noo do NOT straighten your hair. why would you do that? you want to curl your hair right? for me, it works best if i wash my hair the night before since it holds the curls better. I use tresemme curl activator spray on sections and curl my hair and then finish off with hair spray. it makes my curls last 2 days! its lovely.

i curl my whole hair, but experiment with different size curls.

good luck :]

Tired of short hair!!?

I have had the same haircut for over 10 yrs! Its short, always finger lenth on top and 1/2 on the sides.. I am just sick of it! Only problem is, my hair is VERY thick and it doesn't grow down.. It grows up into a big ball!

I would like to have longer hair, something that I can actually style! I just wanted some ideas of what I could do to make it a thinner, softer and not so thick! I just need a change!

Thanks everyone!

Tired of short hair!!?

ask your hair dresser to 'thin out' your hair. it's a cutting technique with special scissors. you could also get extensions if you are really ready for long hair now. you could even get your hair professionally straightened, that would make it appear thinner.

Tired of short hair!!?

Just wait for it to grow longer.....

Tired of short hair!!?

Extensionsss

or maybe go to a hairdresser and get a perm and aske he hairdresser to thin out your hair.

If i wore my hair up how should i wear it ?

the second one down the one that has a flower in her hair she is faced side ways

If i wore my hair up how should i wear it ?

Half Up Pony Tail-Run your thumbs above the ear,and then Pull it back where half is up and half is down.

If i wore my hair up how should i wear it ?

FIrst off, with your nose the way it is, you should NEVER wear a center part!! always a side part!! the center part makes the nose look even longer.....for right now, all I can see you in is a very simple up-do, with soft tendrils around your face to soften your jawline....%26amp; while you didnt ask, you may want to consider having your brows grow in; I know, I know, all ladies your age group tweeze the heck out of them, forgetting one basic thing: PROPORTION...your brows make the rest of your face look 'bigger' (including your nose) so a little fuller brow will bring more balance to your face, overall......sorry to lecture!! but once I get started.......I know you will take all this in the spirit of constructive criticism!!...if you tell me your height and weight and skintone, I can give you further hints..feel free to email me anytime!!

Growing My Hair Out ?

I am a male and I have been growing my hair out since june, i have kind of thick hair and it looks very big, i use good shampoo and conditoners usually American Crew or Redken but i notice my hair looks very thick, are there any tips to growing it out long and how to prevent it from getting too thick, i don;'t want to have that heavy feeling

Thanks

Growing My Hair Out ?

go to a salon and tell the stylist you want to thin your hair

she/he will use these special kind of scissors that thin out your hair making it look less full and makes it weigh less

Growing My Hair Out ?

You can thin it out but it won't help much, its just the way your hair is, its frustrating yes, but you just got to find a style that suits your hair, everyone is different, try combing and styling it different

Growing My Hair Out ?

have your stylist thin it out

Growing My Hair Out ?

Thining your hair does help, especially very thick hair.

Growing My Hair Out ?

Thinning your hair will take some of the thickness out, but it won't look very healthy... I suggest cutting it shorter because it will give u a clean, respectable look. If u really want to keep ure long hair then use a straightner on it for extra effect!

Growing My Hair Out ?

rub ur scalp with olive oil

Growing My Hair Out ?

You could go to the salon and have some of the bulk taken out of it, have your stylist thin it out a bit but leave the length, it will probably give you some good texture as well.

How long does it take for permanent hair dye to fade out completly?

Its Loreal Hi-lite system, blonde on natural med. brown hair(long). The streaks are too big and only showed up at the top of hair. How long will it take to fade out or how else can I fix this?

How long does it take for permanent hair dye to fade out completly?

well its called permanent hair color so it wont ever come out, go to a salon they will fix it

How long does it take for permanent hair dye to fade out completly?

they wont fade out completely, they will fade a lil tho after bout 2months or so

How long does it take for permanent hair dye to fade out completly?

you need to go to a salon to get this fixed. once permanent color is on your hair the only way to get it out is to let it grow out or color over it.

How long does it take for permanent hair dye to fade out completly?

My mom got highlights she didn't like either so she went back o the salon and had it colored over a different shade.

For sistahs only: Now what do I do about my hair?

I have been growing my relaxer out for several months, and was so excited about wearing my hair naturally curly...except my natural hair is not curly at all, it is like one big, thick, hard puff (think Wallace, that Pistons basketball player). I'm not going back to getting a relaxer, but what am I supposed to do now? I look like Buckwheat when my hair air dries. Waaahhh!

For sistahs only: Now what do I do about my hair?

i suggest www.nappturality.com i was feeling the same way. i wanted my hair to be curly like Corbin Bleu i got something else. something nappier. and i kept denying it trying to make it curl and i even went and got a texturizer. but i had to learn to accept hair on my head for what it is and nappturality helped me with that.

For sistahs only: Now what do I do about my hair?

you can get a weave untilk your hair grows out more and the relaxer is gone, or you can cut the relaxer out and let your hair grow and then get a texturizer

For sistahs only: Now what do I do about my hair?

haha so am i. I'm still searching.... but i HAVE a relaxer. I do loooove aussie a lot though. dont worry, it can be used in your hair. the three minutes miracles are like foreal miracles. and olive oil products work very good but I hate the scent.

http://www.aussie.com/us/collections

i'd go with aussie =]

For sistahs only: Now what do I do about my hair?

Try washing it in a shampoo and conditioner that promotes curls. Also, you might try mousse but only rarely because hair holders are not really great for permanant fixtures. I might also suggest washing it at night and putting curlers in, my hair dries with waves or ringlets when I do that but my hair has a little natural spring to it.

Hope that helps.

For sistahs only: Now what do I do about my hair?

Take a look at the process you use for drying your hair. Maybe you can braid or twist while your hair is wet, that way you can implement some structure to the way it dries. Once its dry, you can undo the braids or twists, if you like, and have a wavy pattern to your hair. You also should use a great moisturizing oil on your hair while it dries to help manage your coils.

For sistahs only: Now what do I do about my hair?

There are lots of sources online that are helpful in the maintenance of natural hair, which is very different than maintaining relaxed hair.

The website I listed below is one of my favorites. The woman posts a lot of pictures and gives great details about how she takes care of her hair (and her hair is gorgeous!). She also lists links to other websites as well.

For sistahs only: Now what do I do about my hair?

congratulations for freeing yourself from the relaxers.now you should be patient and let your hair develop.black hair is quite unique and you will find that you,ll embrace its beauty in time. choose a natual hair stylist to advise you what course of action to take.their styles are endless and what more much more healthier for you in the long run.i'm sure you'll find something that suits your lifestyle.good luck

I have large ears and thin hair. need a new hairstyle to cover my ears. help?

I have large ears and thin hair. need a new hairstyle to cover my ears. help?

Definantly curl your hair (at night with sponge rollers or just go to bed with your hair wet and braid it) and also add a hair wrap or head band to cover ears, look here at urbanoutfitters.com

I have large ears and thin hair. need a new hairstyle to cover my ears. help?

Why don't you try to curl it so its not flat so your ears don't poke out?

I have large ears and thin hair. need a new hairstyle to cover my ears. help?

keep your hair down. Maybe you should try straightening it somedays and curling it others. Or wear it wavy. You can always put a little clip in tha top or on the side.

I have large ears and thin hair. need a new hairstyle to cover my ears. help?

GET A PERM

I have large ears and thin hair. need a new hairstyle to cover my ears. help?

how about hair extensions, it will make your hair appear thicker, or get it cut in a bob style

I have large ears and thin hair. need a new hairstyle to cover my ears. help?

keep wearing your hair down, just sometimes wavy, other times curly, and other times straight . try putting little flowers, clips, and bows or headbands to make it not so boring .

THREE QUESTIONS for Hair Stylists?

For the hair stylists who have been in the industry for over two years, but haven't established a big clientele base yet -

(1) Out of 10 hair stylists, how many of them do you think are willing to do hair cuts at people's homes in the same neighborhoods as where they live?

(2) For the hair stylists who want to do the home hair cut, how much at the minimum do you think they want to make out of the each hair cut trip?

(3) For the hair stylists who don't want to do the home hair cut, what would be the reasons?

Thanks for your honest reply!

THREE QUESTIONS for Hair Stylists?

it's simply unprofessional sometimes. and most of the time, if the salon finds out, the stylist can be fired.

Getting a haircut for thick curly hair, any advice?

-Im a teen with a long-ish (below the shoulder) THICK, curly hair with layers

-I have a pretty round face, with a big (blech) forehead.

-I am very afraid of bangs, because my face has a tendency to get oily and breakout sometimes, but how else am i supposed make my forehead seem smaller?

-Pictures and advice on how my hairstylist can cut my THICK, curly hair so it's pretty and easy to manage (i don't have time to straighten my hair daily) would help a LOT! Nothing super short or over the top please.

-Thanks :)

here is a pic of something i like: http://moviesmedia.ign.com/movies/image/...

could it work? (sorry that the link takes up a lot of space)

Getting a haircut for thick curly hair, any advice?

I think that pic of hair is really cute and stylish. If your hair will do that you should go for it. I have really thick curly hair also, i just recently got mine cut and layered (with long layers) so that the longest layer touches right above my shoulders. I also had my bangs cut so that I can curl them over to the side..because I too have a blech forhead. This haircut is really easy to manage. Just some mouse after the shower every morning and scrunch it a little and it looks good all day. I also straighten but feel your pain in the time it takes to straighten thick curly hair...ask your stylist if the style you choose will be easily managed. Good luck!

Getting a haircut for thick curly hair, any advice?

That would be cute my hair is thin curly long brown hair

Getting a haircut for thick curly hair, any advice?

It could but go to seventeen.com and take there virtual make overs to see what u would like. Also take into consideration the style you normally wear your hair, obviously you wouldn't want a super short hair cut if you mainly just put it up in a pony tail.

Getting a haircut for thick curly hair, any advice?

hmm it would be better to decide if we had a picture of you o.O but i really like the hair on the link i thiknk it would work for you =)

Getting a haircut for thick curly hair, any advice?

whatever you do,

DO NOT GET IT CUT SHORT.

my math teacher has VERY short curly hair and she looks like a mushroom and afro combined,

people constantly make fun of her.

Getting a haircut for thick curly hair, any advice?

Try and see if there is a certified Ouidad stylist in your area. https://www.ouidad.com . They have this method called carving and slicing that works really great on curly hair. I have extremely thick and curly hair, too... and I have found that this method helps to cut each individual curl and not make your head look like a pyramid! Good luck!

Getting a haircut for thick curly hair, any advice?

I know what it's like to fight with hair. I am 43 and when I was your age I tried like heck to make it look like a picture. What I've learned is that it never looks like the picture. Now when I go to a hairdresser I ask them to be creative and give them general guidelines on length. I just think that since they have the experience with so many different hair types, they know what your hair will do. Become friends with PRODUCT...tame those curls so they are sexy and cute!

Good luck

Getting a haircut for thick curly hair, any advice?

I have thick curly hair too, so I know what it's like. Def. get layers cut. It's easier to manage and thins it out. Also, I think there is some certain, special way to cut hair to make it thinner. Ask your stylist about this. Don't make it too short, either.

And also ask your stylist about what she would recommend for simple, quick products to put on. Products like leave in conditioner are quick and easy to use in the mornings, and they make your hair much more manageable.

And yeah, I think that style would work.

Getting a haircut for thick curly hair, any advice?

IF YOUR REALLY NOT WANTING TO HAVE SHORT HAIR THE BEST THING TO DO WOULD TO PUT YOUR HAIR IN LAYERS, THIS WAY THE LAYERS WITH FIT AROUND YOUR FACE----- PART YOUR HAIR TO THE SIDE SO ITS COVERING YOUR FOREHEAD....(WONT CAUSE YOUR FACE TO BREAKOUT LIKE BANGS) AND WEAR IT LIKE THAT. I HAVE LONG CURLY HAIR AS WELL AND THIS WHAT I HAVE DONE I HAVE AN OVAL HEAD SO TO MAKE MY HEAD LOOK SMALLER IN LENGHT I PART IN TO THE SIDE. JUST AN IDEA...BUT WHAT EVER HAPPENS OWN IT AND MAKE IT FIERCE!

How do you get your hair pin straight?

my hair is beyond curly. its like a big afro type thing and i want it pin straight without a weave. it always ends up looking like a huge poofball when i straighten it because its so dry.

so... yeah HOW DO I GET IT PIN STRAIGHT!!!!!!!

How do you get your hair pin straight?

You should blow dry it first and then use a flat straightening iron to straight it out. It works for me!

Good luck!

How do you get your hair pin straight?

You should try blow-drying it straight.

How do you get your hair pin straight?

You might want to try to use a gentle relaxer to get it straight since you say that it's really curly. Go to a salon and have it professionally done so that it doesn't cause breakage. They might also have some other alternatives besides relaxers too.

é–³?br>How do you get your hair pin straight?

Best thing to keep from killing your hair is to get it professionally straightened or use the professional straighteners for a more temporary fix. Good Luck!!

How do you get your hair pin straight?

Have you tried blow drying it and straghtening it? Try it!

How do you get your hair pin straight?

get it chemically straightened

How do you get your hair pin straight?

i had the same thing, i used a hair product for straigtening and it was like my hair was paper thin and straight. it was amazing, considering i have curly huge hair. :D try finding a good one, it might be a little pricey but it will work.

p.s. chemically straightening hair is bad for it. i know someone who did and she is seriously balding.

How do you get your hair pin straight?

WHAT YOU NEED:

De-poofer (18:99 at professional stores)

Health spray (21.99 at professional stores)

elastics

Straigntner

Put the de-poofer all over your head of hair.Be VERY generous

Take the front of your hair (Where the bangs would be) And give it a spritz of health spray, then straighten.Tie it in an elastic

Do the same on both sides tieing them in an elastic

Yay straight hair!!! :)

I have the same problem.

How do you get your hair pin straight?

First you need to address why your hair is so poofy in the first place - it's dry. Try deep conditioning it for 2 weeks in a row (like on Sunday) and then see how it is after that. Make sure to follow the directions and keep a heated towel on your head so as to lock in the moisture. What I do is take a plastic bag (from Wal-Mart or something, but a shower cap would work equally well) and wrap it on my hair after applying the cream. Then wet and heat a small towel in the microwave for 20-30 seconds and put on your head (if it's not too hot).

A good conditioner that worked for me was Redken All Soft Heavy Cream. Used just one or two times you will see a HUGE difference.

Good luck!

How do you get your hair pin straight?

Ok, you can use a straightener, but i would suggest using

"Back to basics: Coconut Mango Rich Moisture" Shampoo and Conditioner.

And then after you take a shower, put about a nickel size drop of "Biosilk Silk Therapy" in your hair. It will make it verrry soft!

How do you get your hair pin straight?

fructis has this new system called sleek n something but yeah you should use that it gets rid of the frizz n everything n when you blow dry ur hair blow dry it straight down then flat iron it till its bone straight this should help!

How do you get your hair pin straight?

you should try to find something to put in it so that it isn't so dry when you straighten it, maybe try a certain shampoo and conditioner. I used to have dry hair Because I dye it all the time, I switched to Garnier Fructis and it isn't as dry anymore! It works great. I also straighten my hair. My hair isn't long enough to get it pin straight though, so I wear it like a rock star would wear it, straight, poofy, and kind of messed up looking.

How do you get your hair pin straight?

buy herbal esscence shampoo conditioner and they have a spray that u put on before you straighten uor hair with a straightener then use your hair spray that is also herbal escence pin straight collection. ironic the name isnt it.

How do you get your hair pin straight?

burn it

How do you get your hair pin straight?

I would recommend getting a professional straightener they are pricey about $100.00 but they work soo good. and when you straighten it, spray some hairspray on it(not a lot just a little spray)and that might help the frizz. try using pantene pro-v shampoo and conditioner, I have curly hair(underneath)and that stuff works awesome. you could also try blow drying it straight.

How do you get your hair pin straight?

try using a regular clothes iron. that's how i straighten my hair. you have to get someone else to do it for you. it will damage it though. make sure you get it trimmed often.

How do you get your hair pin straight?

the best straightener for your hair would be the hughe conair one because of its massive plates and all around heat it will make your hair supper straight.Or take your CHI and take a peice off hair and go supper slow

How to get 'beachy', wavy-like hair?

My hair is sorta wavy//puffy//frizzy it's semi-wavy, but it looks really messy because my hair is thick. I usually straighten it, but is there a way I can get that cute, tousled, beach-like hair? And without it being all big and puffy. Thanks!

How to get 'beachy', wavy-like hair?

i answered a question like this a while ago so i will give you the same answer : )

garnier frutis leave-in conditioning cream curl %26amp; shine. i have been straightening my hair for almost two years now and the damage has really built up. i needed to give my hair a break and i needed a product that would tame my thick, wavy/curly locks. i put this stuff in and it not only conditions your hair, but it syles it and makes curls bouncy. it makes hair look like those pantene ads! ive gotten so many compliments when i had once seen my natural hair as a wavy/curly/puffy/frizzy mess! this product will make your hair shiny, curly, hydrated, and volumous. it can be purchased at your local drug store for about 4 dollars and it comes in a bright green bottle. i believe there is also a shampoo %26amp; conditioner in the curl %26amp; shine system. the best part is you can put it in when it's wet/damp (i reccommend) and also when its dry for an extra lift if curls begin to drag. best of luck with your curly hair! p.s. i hear curly hair is in this spring season =)

How to get 'beachy', wavy-like hair?

right after you get out of the shower, get some mouse, and lean over and run it through your hair, i like that way that looks!

How to get 'beachy', wavy-like hair?

I like mousse. my hair's kind of the same way. Use mousse, do a little scrunching with your fingers, blow dry it a bit, and that should work.

How to get 'beachy', wavy-like hair?

you have the same problem as i do.

but this is what i do to make my hair that beachy look and it is successful. in my case.

but anyways take a shower (at night). straighten your hair while its 89% dry. and then just simply braid your hair. and then sleep with it. and the next day just apply moose or whatever.

How to get 'beachy', wavy-like hair?

my sister has hair like that..and what she does..is she runs water through her hair, not a lot! ...and then scrunches it ( without hairspray) take a lil bit of gel, and scunch it...make sure its not a lot of gel cause your not scrunching it. and then blow dry it on low.

How to get 'beachy', wavy-like hair?

straighten then use a crimping iron or make small curls with a small curling iron good luck

How to get 'beachy', wavy-like hair?

Well you could straighten your hair and then take one of those things like a straightner excpet they come with wavy plates called a waver, and do some nice smooth waves, or you could wet your hair, brush it straight and scrunch it with some gel in the palm of your hand. You could also straighten your hair and then take a curling iron and give them some big, light tossled hair.

And you want the tousled beach like hair, my friend got a perm called ''ocean wave'' with light waves and it looked really pretty.

However, if these don't work you could ask a local salon on how to get these looks!

Hope it works out for you

%26lt;3Katrina%26lt;3

How to get 'beachy', wavy-like hair?

okay heres what u do... And this is what ive done... okay I went to a hair salon and had them thin my hair out, now you can tell them that u dont wanna like really thin it out but they'll just take some of the hair out, and then get a light perm with big rollers... itll come out in like wavy beach hair... then just let it air dry all the time because if u blow dry it, it does get frizzy, but if u dont it comes out like ur going to the beach, or u just came from the beach... good luck hope it works

How to get 'beachy', wavy-like hair?

when you get out of the shower put mousse in it and let it dry natural. try to scrunch it too.

How to get 'beachy', wavy-like hair?

Hi there..John Frieda makes a product like this and it's called "Starlight Waves", it used to be "Beach Blonde", I think, but I've seen it at Target and places like that. I included a link to the product, I have it and it works pretty good.

http://www.johnfrieda.com/products/produ...

How to get 'beachy', wavy-like hair?

Well in my thinking you could try straightening your hair slightly not too straight at night then braid your hair in two parts like making pigtail. When you wake up in the morning open up the braids and spray with hairspray if it turns out like you wanted it

How to get 'beachy', wavy-like hair?

buy those soft curlers and sleep in them. it is soooo easy and you save so much time in the morning. you just take them out and only brush the top of your hair otherwise you brush right through the curls. then use hairspray, not mousse. ive found that a great brand of hairspray is matrix hairspray. and for looser, messier curls, you separate each curl in two. it is a more casual, less shirley temple look.

then for waves, sleep in braids. (the number depending on how wavy you want your hair. i would probably recommend about eight or so) then you just take them out in the morning and just brush the top of your hair. you can use hairspray, but i usually dont need it, but then again, my hair holds waves really well......

and if you shower in the morning, scrunch your hair with mousse and it looks pretty good but might get a little frizzy.

good luck!! hope i helped!!!

Hair problems...help please?

i have dark brown kinda long hair (the back goes to about the collar on a t-shirt). when my hair is long it sometimes curls out on the ends but sometimes stays strait. it varies from day to day. im kinda sick of having long hair. i want it shorter but not like shaved. the only problem is i dont really know any styles of shorter hair for guys, plus i have pretty big ears. if i dont cut it short i need to figure out something to do with it at this length.

Hair problems...help please?

Why don't you layer it? It's more stylish and it will still hide your ears.

Hair problems...help please?

wat u need to do is go to a barber shop and tell him to give u a spike cut. all you have to do then is just comb it and spike up the front with gel

Hair problems...help please?

Hey try makeoversolutions.com or any online makeover its free for just the one upload pic of your self and you can check out your pic with different hairstyles. And yes they do have guys hairstyles. Hope this helps.

Hair problems...help please?

There are salons where they can put a photograph of you on the computer and try different hairstyles on you and you can see the results before they actually cut off your hair.

Hair problems...help please?

Have a look though hair magazines or go for a consultation at a hair salon, they will suggest a cut to suit you or look at http://mensfashion.about.com/od/grooming... you can get some ideas.

Good Luck!

My sons ears stick out a bit and I give him long layers and his hair covers his ears . The top is short but progressively gets longer.

Hair problems...help please?

OMG i have a friend with the same problem. Only he keeps his hair long to cover his GIGANTIC forehead. aka "nine-head". hahaha. But ya just go to your hairstylist and explain to her/him your problem and they will take care of it.

Seriously.

How long do you have to wait to re-dye your hair?

I dyed my hair a few days ago thinking my hair was going to be beach blode. I had light brown hair/ dark blonde hair. Anyway, I left it on for 25 minutes, and it said to leave it on for 45! I take it off and my hair is sooo light, and I told my mom it looks like a wig that you see some people wearing in Las Vegas. My mail man came and I was sitting in the garage, and he looked in and said hello, then when he saw my hair his eyes got big and hurried up and walked away! Even my grandpa was like "what did you do to your hair!!". I have died my hair 4-5 times before. How long do you have to wait to re-dye your hair?? This time, I'm sticking with darker colors! LOL

How long do you have to wait to re-dye your hair?

if you really don't like it, dye it immediately. it wont ruin your hair and if you seriously hate your hair now, definitely don't wait any longer

How long do you have to wait to re-dye your hair?

You're going to have to go get your hair professionally colored the next few times. You stripped all the underlying pigment out of your hair, so the next time it's colored it won't hold for long...it'll wash out. You need a color filler, and most likely a protein treatment.

If it's as light as you say, it's probably near irrepairably damaged.

God I hate people who have to do the "don't listen to them" thing.

How long do you have to wait to re-dye your hair?

Usually you have to wait around one week, it all depends on how badly your scalp burned when you were applying the dye. If it didnt hurt as much, you should be able to re-dye it within a week. If it burned a lot wait two weeks. For that week, may I suggest a baseball cap, to help draw the attention off your head.

How long do you have to wait to re-dye your hair?

No offense anyone but don't listen to them...i use to be a cosmetologist an you need to wait until the hair color settles b/c if you keep dying it then your hair will turn an ashy color. Wait 2-3 weeks to dye your hair again. Get it professionally done in about a couple of weeks and it will turn out better....Good Luck....

I have black hair, want to put thin red, blonde, and light brown highlights all over. is this a good i

Im not sure if this wil suit me and i have a big wedding coming up so i want my hair to look really good. My Skin color is a tanned brown color and i have dark brown eyes. Can someone please tell me if this will look good or not or if anyone can find pictures for me of what this will look like that will be greatly appreciated !! Please help asap !!

I have black hair, want to put thin red, blonde, and light brown highlights all over. is this a good idea?

You do realize that she did just say she was contemplating highlights, right? No where in her question did she say she would dye her all of her hair! I think that you should also take into consideration the amount of time you have before the wedding. You don't want it to be less than two weeks away because if you don't end up liking it, you'll pretty much be screwed. I think to be on the safe side, you should start more subtle and slightly increase the highlights to your liking. If the wedding is more than a couple weeks away, you at least have a chance to let the highlights fade a little or have them redone. Good luck and have fun at the wedding!

I have black hair, want to put thin red, blonde, and light brown highlights all over. is this a good idea?

I think you would look good with red hair. But dying yourhair might not be the best thing to do. I hope you realize that in like a few weeks your gonna have to dye it again, other wise your hair is gonna look really weird with the top of your head balck, and the bottom half red or blonde. You realize that right?

I have black hair, want to put thin red, blonde, and light brown highlights all over. is this a good idea?

Nope, the colour may look great, but going from black to blonde is chemically impossible...that is too many levels for the de-colourizor to lift. Trust me I have tried 1000 times...Your hair will break off and break apart, and will comb apart, etc. Not worth it. Unless you have Asian hair, my little sis is 1/ 2 Vietnamese and I can bleach the **** out of her hair...and it keeps on kicking...But use caution with de-colourizor and thicker hair, everyone has different hair..

I have black hair, want to put thin red, blonde, and light brown highlights all over. is this a good idea?

NO. DO NOT DO IT. I have black hair too, and I once made the mistake of adding more than one color and it looked like a mess. The most is to add one color, maybe brown or red, and maybe different shades of it as highlights. Do NOT dye your whole head because it will look artificial and gross.

I have black hair, want to put thin red, blonde, and light brown highlights all over. is this a good idea?

no going all those diffrent colors from black may not look all that grate ill send u apic of my mom but ill need ur email e mail me @

I have black hair, want to put thin red, blonde, and light brown highlights all over. is this a good idea?

my friend originally has black hair. then she wanted to dye is light brown. the next day when i saw her, it was still pretty dark. =/

I have black hair, want to put thin red, blonde, and light brown highlights all over. is this a good idea?

I dont think that would look that great first of all no one has hair that color and it would look totally unnatural . Plus every girl on her wedding days wants to look like a natural beauty plus it looks realy tacky.

Should i dye my hair?

Ok, so i really want to die my hair some drastic color like brown or red, my hair is blonde. but im kinda scared taht ill hate it alot because everyoneis always commenting on how they love my hair color. personally i hate it sometimes, i just wish it was darker. but other times i really love it cuz it is kinda pretty. andim ready for a big change. is there a good short term hair dye i can do to test the waters and wont ruin my hair?

Should i dye my hair?

If you want a complete change, go black.

Should i dye my hair?

Get a comfortable wing.

Should i dye my hair?

if you go to eckerd or walgreens they have these hair dyes in orange plastic..i think its loreal. its hair dye mousee. it will was out after 8-12 washes. natural instincts has some wash out dyes too. good luck.

Should i dye my hair?

Roux, In grey bottle with pink tips. Their are some temp. hair dyes out thier. but that will just kill off the water supply. You know it gets into the landfill, the water gets into the drinking wells, animals get sick. nature goes bye-bye. Think Green Peace.

Then theirs Henna. Usually sold in boxes in the natural health food stores. They have red/black/brown. Easier on the planet!

Should i dye my hair?

who cares what anyone else thinks.

if you want something less "normal", Manic Panic and the like will last a week or two... but made fade pretty ugly.

I would suggest going to Sally's Beauty Supply or a Beauty Supply store and getting temp. dye. like Level 1 or 2.

Should i dye my hair?

Try a color glaze! It's so nourishing to the hair and will last for about 3 months. They are translucent color so you can test the waters with something not-so-drastic, like strawberry blonde or sunset. If you hate it....wash your hair lots! It will be gone gone gone!!

How to get smooth curly volumized hair with no frizz using aussie products?

my hair is naturaly wavy but to big wave, little stupid ones.

i like aussie products but dont know which ones to try.

I dont want to take a lot of time, either something i can sleep in or that takes no more then half an hour.

i already know to flip my head upside down with the blow dryer but that doesn't seem to work on my hair so dont suggest that.

my hair is a little past shoulder length.

How to get smooth curly volumized hair with no frizz using aussie products?

- Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a microfiber hair turban (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (read more about this at one of the websites) . Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it wil disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Then let your hair air dry or use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Do not touch the hair while it is drying or it will frizz!

- I like some of the Aussie products, but there are better ones out there. Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Aussie Moist Conditioner. The combo of products that I use daily is Garnier Fuctis Sleek and Shine Leave In Cream, LA Looks Sports Gel (heavy hold), and Aussie Tizz No Frizz Gel (light hold- needs another gel to back it up), but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! Hope this helps!

How to get smooth curly volumized hair with no frizz using aussie products?

I used to use Aussie products, now I use Sunsilk. They have one for whatever type of hair you have. Each color is different. It works great for my hair.

You can see the site and choose the kind of hair you have to see which one would help you.

My hair condition sux!?

Well i have shoulder length hair and its wavy and really really thin. I've always had really thin hair, but at the moment its thinner bcuz about two months ago i dyed evry 2-3 weeks bcuz i had blu/purple hair. So 2 months ago i dyed it burgandy but its this weird brown . I plan on dyeing it red in the next week or 2 bcuz although its not the best hair it ok enough to dye

ok well now heres my question..

How can i get healthier, stronger, thicker hair?

without ruining my color?

also now thats its winter my hair is very huge and frizzy. how can i keep it from being so big without taking away all the volume.

i've used alot of drugstore leave in conditioners but it gives my hair this weird clay feel to it...

im desperate need of help ....thnx so much if you can give me good advice .. =D

My hair condition sux!?

I struggle with the same problem; I just can't stop changing my haircolor.

Obviously, you're aware that as long as you dye so frequently your hair won't be in the greatest condition; however, I have a few suggestions.

%26gt;Maintain a healthy lifestyle. If it comes out of your head healthy, it will be more resilient to the torture you subject it to.

%26gt;Try the Ion line of conditioners and styling products. Sold at Sally's Beauty Supply, the deep conditioner is my favorite. Leave on for 20 minutes at a time, or use as a regular daily conditioner. It also contains protectants in case you style your hair with heat.

%26gt;Philosophy's hair marinade is another great product. Available at Sephora.com

%26gt;Avoid heat styling if you're not going anywhere special.

%26gt;Try to minimize brushing and tugging of your hair when it's wet.

As far as your frizz problem: Check out glamour.com for their instructional video on how to give yourself a professional blowout (very helpful). This will give you enough body so that you can use a straightening iron to eliminate frizz, just make sure you use a protectant before styling.

My hair condition sux!?

I had the same problem and then I figured this out....

Take vitamin e pills if you can...

Take a shower three hours earlier than usual and leave your conditioner in your hair and after a few hours get back in the shower and rinse it clean. Do this every night for a week and you will see a BIG difference. The vitamin e pills aren't a neccisity, they just give ur hair more minerals.

Hope I helped

My hair condition sux!?

You might want to consider not dyeing your hair for a bit to give your hair a break. Each time you color your hair, you break down your hair chemically so that it will take in the color. With multiple dye jobs, your hair will become quite brittle.

For conditioners, you might consider lighter conditioners rather than heavier conditioners so there's just less stuff in your hair. Look for shampoos and conditions which preserve your color and which are specifically made for color treated hair. Brands I've liked in the past are Joico, Aveda, and sometimes I use Nioxin.

My hair condition sux!?

Try using more butter.

My hair condition sux!?

Take a gelatin/vitamin D supplement for the healthier hair.

And a light Hair Spray for the frizz.

My hair condition sux!?

i had the same problem, then stopped using conditioner altogether! well, sort of. i've been using a 2-in-1 shampoo %26amp; conditioner that's put out by pantene pro-v, i think it's called like "smooth %26amp; sleek" and love it. this should work for well if you want to keep the frizz down but keep the volume and shine. my hair was super damaged from all the dying and styling i put it through, and i tried almost every conditioner out there, and this definitely did the trick. it's super gentle for dyed hair. it doesn't say it on the front, but on the back it says that all their products are gentle enough for dyed hair. seriously try it out, it's like $4 for a big bottle?

i hope you like it! take care, happy holidays.

What is the difference between Loreal excellence and Loreal Preference hair color? Help me with hair

Hi. I want to color my hair dark brown and in shop I see many Loreal haircolors such as Preference, Excellence, Casting... I dont know the difference. I have lots of gray hairs and I want to cover them, but at the same time once I bought dark brown color and my hair became almost black and it took ages until I could go lighter. But at the same time when I use light brown hair color it does not cover white hairs and after some wash it becomes redish. I dont know what to do. Also I have very big black eyes and dark eyebrows and I love to have blonde hair. But everyone tells me that I wont look nice and natural. But then I wonder how some celebrities with dark skin and eyes have blondish hair, like Shakira, Beyonce...Please tell me what to do with my hair.

What is the difference between Loreal excellence and Loreal Preference hair color? Help me with hair color.?

I believe one is a cream and one is a gel. :)

A dark brown dye will make your hair almost black, so don't use it if that's not the effect you're going for. A medium brown will give a nicer more natural effect.

If you notice one thing about darker skinned celebrities who look great with blonde hair- they're gorgeous. If you're gorgeous you can get away with any hair color. :)

What is the difference between Loreal excellence and Loreal Preference hair color? Help me with hair color.?

If you go dark brown you need a colour that is going to cover the grey. They packs usually tell you if they are suitable for grey hair and what kind of coverage you will get. Warmer browns will go red because they have a red pigment in the dye. Brown can be a difficult colour, but its a case of trial and error.

On the other hand if you want to go blond but think your eyebrows are too dark, you can have them lightened by your beauty therapist. Its like a reverse eyebrow tint. It takes the dark out but still leaves you with a natural looking lighter brown eyebrow. You need to speak with your hairdresser about a blond shade that works well with your natural skin tones for it to be natural looking. If you have a lot of grey, its is easier for you to maintain blonde as the grey tones blend well with blond and doesnt fade as quick as brown. Nor do you notice the regrowth as bad. My advice as a beauty therapist and hairdresser, is not to try the colors at home until you get it done with your own stylist to see what works for you. they should then be able to recommend a color for you to use at home. Yes it will be more costly to get started but think of what you will save if you screw it up doing it yourself. You may very well find yourself at the hairdressers begging them to fix it anyway!

Is there an easy way to take care of hair getting wound around the vaccum spool?

I have very long and thick hair and anyone else with it will vouch that there is lots of shedding. I vaccum about every other day and every time I look at the spool underneath all my hair is wrapped around it in a big knot. I usually have to resort to sccissors to get it out. Is there an easier way? I have a Dyson and I spent too much to have my hair break the darn thing! Thanks!

Is there an easy way to take care of hair getting wound around the vaccum spool?

I have the same problem with my wife's hair. But sorry to say hon, there is no real easier way of taking care of this. Except I use a utility knife or razor blade. But its still the same, hair on the roller brush, gotta cut it out, etc... Just make it part of a continuous action plan that you do after you vacuum.

We had a problem at our old house with the carpet clogging up the hose after every couple weeks of vacuuming. And this was with my old vacuum I got from my parents that cost them like $2000 15 years ago. So, I totally didnt wanna ruin this one.

But like getting yer oil changed in yer car, drinking water, washing dishes, its just something you gotta do.

Is there an easy way to take care of hair getting wound around the vaccum spool?

I know about shedding, plus I have a very hairy golden retriever! It takes a little extra effort, but your vacuum will thank you for it, I quickly sweep the rugs with a broom, balling up the hair before I vacuum...long live long hair!!!

Is there an easy way to take care of hair getting wound around the vaccum spool?

razor blade is the answer-swipe it across the roller and all wound materials can easily be pulled off roller

Is there an easy way to take care of hair getting wound around the vaccum spool?

I cut it off with a scissors

What can I do to make my hair like this?

http://a356.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/ima...

Right now it is puffy and just doesn't seem free-moving, if that makes any sense. I think I need it to be heavier. It just stays in one position and is puffy and all my hair seems to just be one big puffy ball and either end of the back of my hair always flips up and seems thin at the ends. Here is my hair at the moment.

Thanks alot for your help.

What can I do to make my hair like this?

maybe it needs some product to control it... gel or something? have a go anyway.

What can I do to make my hair like this?

Try this radical change in hair style.

http://www.slickville.com/sections/resid...

What can I do to make my hair like this?

maybe you should get layers and straiten like zac efron in the hscm1

What can I do to make my hair like this?

Well, I have an Afro now, but have had straight hair before, I like different styles. The best thing to do is to use a shampoo that has conditioning and cleansing in it, don't condition after shampooing, this makes the hair to stiff and frizzy. The best shampoo is one with silk proteins. Then use a blow dryer, and a hard gel like Paul Michell only at the ends, don't use the gel all over, this is not good if you want free hair, comb once then run your hands through it to separate, and voila! You have movement. This really works!
